Our Weymouth center has two high-field, open-bore MRI scanners.

1.5T Siemens Espree features a spacious open-bore design that helps patients feel more comfortable during their exam. Advanced imaging technology produces clear, high-quality images to support accurate diagnoses across a wide range of MRI studies.

3T GE Signa Pioneer provides exceptional image quality in a more comfortable setting. Its wide, open-bore design provides additional space for patients, helping many feel more at ease during their exam. This system includes A.I.-powered imaging software to produces highly detailed images while helping reduce scan times.

What is A.I. Powered Imaging?
Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) is a new technique used on many of Shields’ MRI machines. By removing excess noise and artifacts, it creates sharper and clearer images, all while reducing scan times. AI significantly enhances exams—so you spend less time in the scanner and get more-precise results.
