Shields Health Care Group, New England’s largest network of independent imaging centers, announced their new partnership with Lowell General Hospital, a leading community hospital. This new arrangement will provide magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services at the hospital’s two locations in Lowell and North Chelmsford, ensuring patients experience superior value and service, while providing diagnostic imaging services with the highest standards of quality and safety.
Lowell General Hospital is a highly-regarded community-owned hospital and chose to partner with Shields for their MRI service based on shared values and culture between the two organizations, and Shields’ commitment to providing sophisticated technology, operational support and scheduling. The exceptional team of radiologists from Commonwealth Radiology Group will continue to provide patients and physicians leading diagnostic care using existing advanced technology.

Shields recently announced the expansion of their PET/CT partnership with Cape Cod Healthcare to include radiation oncology services and MRI and CT services. The partnership with Lowell General Hospital is one of three new partnerships within the past eight months.
