Gerald Greeley

As Chief Information Officer, Gerald Greeley is responsible for developing and implementing an IT strategic plan that aligns with the mission of Shields Health.  He oversees the IT department, providing leadership for the continued development of innovative, robust and secure information technology solutions that enhance Shields’ services to patients and referring physicians.

Gerald joined Shields in 2022 from Lawrence General Hospital where he was Chief Information Officer responsible for leading the digital transformation to improve care and operations of the 200-bed community hospital. With more than 30+ years of information technology experience, Gerald has worked as a healthcare executive across multiple health care organizations. Gerald also has expertise in system-wide strategic planning with a specialty in the deployment of information technology solutions to improve quality and the patient experience.  As part of his oversight, Gerald brings in-depth experience in the administration of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including the HIPAA security and patient privacy standards.

Outside of his CIO role, Gerald is also an a faculty-member at Stonehill College and an active member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
