As Medical Director for Shields Health, Stephen Sweriduk, M.D., is responsible for the clinical oversight of the entire network, including quality assurance, protocol development and direct management of Shields Radiology group. He also works hand-in-hand with radiology groups within Shields joint-venture partners to ensure consistency in care. Dr. Sweriduk is committed to ensuring the quality care of more than 100,000 patients seen at Shields each year.
A veteran to Shields Health Care Group, Dr. Sweriduk started his career at Shields first center in Brockton, MA, shortly after the company opened its doors. Prior to joining Shields, he practiced radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Sweriduk is currently Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is credentialed to read PET/CT imaging and also in pharma research. He is also Shields Compliance officer and on the Peer Review committee. In 2009, he was awarded the Shields Founders Award in recognition for his commitment to patient care, vision and leadership.
Dr. Sweriduk graduated from Princeton University and received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
