Shields Summer Outing 2016 at Gillette Stadium

The Shields Family is pleased to invite all Shields Health Care Group employees and their immediate family to a fun-filled summer outing at Gillette Stadium. Please join us as we gather for a Patriots Training Camp Practice, lunch, and family friendly activities.

This page includes information for the day of the event and will be updated in the event of rain/weather cancellation. Please check back here for information and updates. 

 

 

 

INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY:

EVENT TIMELINE:

  • 11:30 am: Registration at Putnam Club East; guests will receive training camp wristbands
  • 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm: lunch
  • 2:00 pm: guests escorted by security to the Shields private viewing area
    **due to the change, if you are not with the group escort, you can still enter but will have to go through security check point**
  • 2:30 pm – 4:45 pm: Attend training camp in private viewing area

OTHER DETAILS:

  • Fan Zone: The Fan Zone is a kids area with bouncy houses and other kid-friendly entertainment. It is free to all stadium guests (not just Shields). The Fan Zone is open from 1 pm – 6 pm  and is located on the West Side of the Stadium on Lot 22.  If you would like to participate in the Fan Zone, we suggest you enjoy lunch first and leave by 1pm so you can use the Fan Zone until it closes at 2pm.
  • Parking: The best location for the Putnam Club East is parking lots E3 & E4, highlighted on this parking map. Parking is free.
  • Security: Security at Gillette Stadium is tight and you must have a wrist band that you’ll receive at check-in to walk freely around the stadium on Sunday. Information on acceptable items guests can bring with them to this event can be found on this link: http://www.gillettestadium.com/patriots-security.
  • Weather: Right now, the weather looks fantastic with lots of sunshine; should that change and the practice be cancelled, we will update this page with event information. The page is available on any network.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Attendees & invitees: The Shields family is happy to provide our employees the opportunity to gather together with their families in a social, fun atmosphere. Every Shields employee is invited to bring their children and one adult guest. If you are single (no spouse/children) we invite you to bring one guest.

Employees scheduled to work on Sunday, August 7:  All Shields offices will be open during normal business hours on Sunday, August 7.  If you are scheduled to work and would like to attend the summer outing, please work directly with your manager to find coverage. Those employees that work the day of the outing will be offered a gift card to the Patriots Place ProShop, upon request. Please contact Kayla Sergi in HR to obtain a gift card. HR will confirm that employees worked on August 7th before the gift cards are mailed to recipients the week after the event.

Lunch information & location: Please meet us at the Putnam Club at 10:00am, practice will begin promptly at 10:30am. Lunch will be provided following the practice at 12:00pm in the Putnam Club.

Gas & parking: All employees are responsible for their own transportation and will not be reimbursed for gas or mileage. This is an optional event and attendance is not required. Parking will be available free of charge.The best lot for parking is the one by the Putnam Club.

Tickets: All employees and their guests will be given tickets upon check-in. Please be sure you register your adults and children guests prior to the event through our R.S.V.P. form. If they are not registered, we cannot guarantee a ticket. All employees are responsible for their tickets on the day of the event. If you do not have your tickets, you will not be able to attend as a Shields guest.

Dress code: This is a fun, casual event and attendees can dress accordingly. Employees are encouraged to wear clothes that show our spirit for The Patriots and/or Shields!

Rain/Weather: Training camp is completely up to the discretion of Coach Belichick. If it rains the practice may be cancelled entirely and not rescheduled. We will not find out this information until the day before or often times the day of the event, in regards to rain cancellation. We will communicate via email or this website on the day of the event if there are any practice cancellations. We will still have the luncheon, indoors, regardless of weather.
